Provident Father, you know the expenses, debts and unmet needs that trouble me. Help me distinguish needs from wants and make careful decisions with what I have. Guide me toward honest work, sound advice and trustworthy assistance. Protect my family from exploitation and desperate choices that would deepen our difficulties. Give me courage to discuss our situation honestly, patience to take practical steps, and generosity that remembers others even when resources are limited. Grant what is truly good, and help me cooperate with your grace through wise and loving action. Keep me close to Jesus in hope and patience. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
