About this prayer
The Hour of Great Mercy recalls the death of Jesus at three in the afternoon. A brief prayerful remembrance of his Passion can be made wherever we are. The Marian Fathers publish the familiar prayer from Saint Faustina’s Diary. The complete published prayer is linked below rather than rewritten. Its publication by a Catholic source is not, by itself, a claim of documented ecclesiastical approval. The short preparation and closing sequence on this page is site-authored guidance, separate from the published prayer. Local reproduction permission has not been established, so the source text remains with its publisher.

Prepare to pray
Let us gather quietly and bring to God the needs of our families, our neighbours, and those who have asked for our prayers.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The complete source text opens on its publisher’s website. The preparation and closing prayers here are separate.
Open the published text above. One person may read its instructions; everyone joins the responses as printed. Preserve the source wording and do not read explanatory notes as prayer.
After the published prayer
Pause for silent prayer.
Let us continue our prayer together.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Pray along
Use the complete text above. When praying together, one person reads the Prayer leader lines and everyone joins in the responses. When praying alone, read both parts. Pause briefly between prayers.
