Lord Jesus, welcome every child into the safety of your love. Protect children from abuse, neglect, hunger and war. Surround them with adults who listen, keep their promises and act when something is wrong. Bless their learning, friendships, play and rest. Comfort children who are sick, grieving or afraid, and provide support for those with additional needs. Help us notice the children at the margins and create homes, schools and communities where they can flourish. Grant what is truly good, and help me cooperate with your grace through wise and loving action. Keep me close to Jesus in hope and patience. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
