Testo della preghiera
Nel nome del Padre e del Figlio e dello Spirito Santo. Amen.
Let us turn away from sin and renew our desire to live as children of God. Will we reject evil, resist selfishness and seek the freedom Christ gives?
With God’s help, we will.
Will we trust the Father who created us, follow Jesus Christ who saves us, and welcome the Holy Spirit who makes us holy?
With God’s help, we will.
Will we remain in the fellowship of the Church, nourish our faith through prayer and the sacraments, and serve our neighbours with love?
With God’s help, we will.
Profession of faith
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Father of mercy, thank you for the gift of baptism. Renew in us the grace of our new life in Christ. When we fall, lift us up; when we are afraid, strengthen us. Keep us faithful to you, and make our lives a witness to your love. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Community intentions
For the grace of our baptism, deepen our belonging to Christ and our willingness to live as members of his Body.
Lord, hear our prayer, and help us become instruments of your mercy.
For our daily witness, strengthen the courage to reject sin, defend dignity, and practise the faith we profess together.
Lord, hear our prayer, and help us become instruments of your mercy.
Pause for silent prayer. Intentions may be offered aloud freely; no one is required to share.
For the intentions spoken and those held quietly in our hearts, let us pray to the Lord.
Lord, receive our prayer and sustain us in your love.
Let us entrust ourselves and those for whom we have prayed to the Father.
Merciful Father, receive our prayer through Jesus Christ. Where we can offer help, make us willing; where we must wait, give us patience. Keep us attentive to one another beyond this gathering. May the grace of this prayer take root in our homes, our work, and our choices, so that your love becomes visible through our lives. Amen.
