Faithful God, bless married couples with the grace to love through changing seasons of life. Teach them to listen without contempt, speak honestly, and share responsibilities fairly. Give them tenderness in sorrow and gratitude in joy. When trust has been wounded, guide them toward truthful repentance and competent help. Protect anyone experiencing abuse, and lead them to safety and support. May marriage be a place of mutual dignity, generous fidelity and growth in your love. Grant what is truly good, and help me cooperate with your grace through wise and loving action. Keep me close to Jesus in hope and patience. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
