Loving Father, bless wives with courage, joy and a deep knowledge of their dignity. Help them speak their needs honestly, share responsibilities with their husbands, and receive care as freely as they offer it. Protect them from violence, exhaustion and the belief that they must carry every burden alone. Strengthen those caring for an ill spouse, facing uncertainty or carrying grief. Give couples the grace to encourage each other’s gifts and to grow in faithful love. Grant what is truly good, and help me cooperate with your grace through wise and loving action. Keep me close to Jesus in hope and patience. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
