Translation Policy

We preserve the existing English site and every Latin prayer. Filipino content is introduced through a curated catalog, without a machine translation service.

Traditional prayer texts

Established prayers are not independently translated. A Filipino version may be drawn from an identifiable Catholic website without separate approval evidence, with a source citation, notice and Under Review label. Verified requires verifiable approval evidence. Approved liturgical texts and established devotional versions are recorded separately. A source match does not establish human theological review.

Latin remains unchanged

Latin wording, spelling, punctuation, accents, line breaks and structure remain exactly as in the source. Language switching excludes Latin prayer texts. English portions in mixed-language prayers remain unchanged until an appropriate Filipino version is verified.

Verification status

Verified: the specified text and its approval evidence have been checked against cited sources. This does not approve all surrounding editorial content. Under Review: a site-authored translation awaits competent language and theological review. Awaiting Verified Translation: the original English remains available while verification is incomplete.

Private corrections

Signed-in visitors may identify a page, describe an issue and suggest a correction. Submissions are private and accessible only to the site owner. Marking feedback reviewed does not automatically publish a correction or change a translation’s status.

Search visibility

Unreviewed or incomplete Filipino pages are marked noindex. Original English URLs remain unchanged. Only page-level translations that complete review are eligible for the Filipino sitemap.

Cebuano translation safeguards

Traditional Cebuano prayer texts require documented ecclesiastical approval for the exact version before integration. Without that evidence, the original English remains labelled Awaiting Verified Catholic Translation. New site-authored Cebuano translations are Under Review. Each language has its own verification record; a source accepted for Filipino does not establish approval for a Cebuano text.
